1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Qalam Media Group ("Qalam Group", "we"), a media publisher. They cover qalam.group, the content published on it, and the internal editorial tool described in section 5. Using this site means you accept them.
2. What we publish
We publish journalism, reviews and guides across seven titles. We take care to be accurate, but the content is provided for general information — it is not professional, financial, legal or medical advice, and it should not be relied on as the sole basis for a decision. Prices, availability and technical specifications change; we correct errors when they are pointed out, and a correction is noted on the article.
3. Using our content
Everything on this site and on our publications — text, photographs, video, artwork and the site's own code — belongs to Qalam Group or to the people we licensed it from. You may read it, link to it and quote a reasonable extract with clear attribution and a link back to the original. You may not republish an article in full, use our material to train a machine-learning model, scrape the sites at scale, or reproduce our marks and logos, in each case without our written permission. Brand names and logos of other companies belong to their owners.
4. What you send us
When you send us an enquiry, a news tip or a correction, you keep ownership of it and you grant us permission to read it, act on it and reply to it. Do not send us anything you are not free to share. We may decline to publish or act on anything for any reason. What we do with your details is set out in the Privacy Policy.
5. The editorial tool
We operate an internal tool that publishes video to the group's own professional social-media accounts and helps our editors answer comments and direct messages sent to those accounts. It is used only by our own staff, it is not offered to the public and it has no self-registration. It acts only on accounts this group owns, through each platform's official API, and only while the account's administrator keeps that access granted — access can be withdrawn at any time from within the platform, and doing so ends it immediately.
Where we use it to reply to something you sent one of our accounts, you are also covered by that platform's own terms, and by ours only in respect of our reply. Replies may be drafted with the help of an automated language model and are reviewed by a person before they are sent.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this site or our systems, do not interfere with its operation, do not submit automated or fraudulent form entries, and do not use our contact channels to send unsolicited commercial messages.
7. Availability, and what we are not liable for
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Links to other sites
We link to sites we do not control, including those of advertisers and of the platforms our accounts are on. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
9. Advertising
Some of what we publish is paid for. Sponsored content is labelled wherever it appears, and advertisers have no influence over our editorial coverage.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page and the date above shows when it last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the place where Qalam Media Group is established, and any dispute is subject to the competent courts of that place. Questions about them go to hi@qalam.group.
