Daricheh Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Daricheh is the new tab extension of the Qalam media group for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. This page explains what data Daricheh handles.

In short: Daricheh has no accounts, analytics, trackers or ads, and sells no data. The only thing that leaves your browser is the name of the city you chose for the weather.

What leaves your browser

• Your city, for the weather. To show the weather and air quality, Daricheh sends the city you chose (Tehran by default) to the Havashahr weather service (havashahr.ir). The request carries no identifier, name or other information about you. Daricheh has no access to your device’s location; it uses only the city you pick.
• News, prices and the photo of the day. Daricheh reads the group’s headlines, market prices and the photo of the day from api.qalam.group, and loads Kojaro’s photo of the day from Kojaro’s server. These requests send no data about you.

As with any web request, the servers Daricheh reads from see your IP address and browser type. This is used only for normal operation and security of those servers and is not linked to any identifier.

What stays in your browser

• Your settings: pinned sites, city, scene and background. They are kept in your browser’s own storage; if you have browser sync turned on, your browser syncs them between your devices. Daricheh cannot read them from anywhere else.
• The latest weather, news and prices are saved in your browser so the new tab opens instantly.
• A photo you set as your background never leaves your browser.
• Icons of the sites you pin come from your browser’s own cache, without a network request.
• Kavizo calculations run inside the tab, and nothing is sent.

Search

The search box hands what you type directly to the search engine you chose in your browser. Daricheh does not see, store or send it anywhere else. From there, that search engine’s privacy policy applies.

Links

Links to the Qalam group’s own sites carry utm_source=daricheh, which tells that site the visit came from Daricheh. No information about you is added. Links to sites you pinned yourself are left unchanged. Once you visit a site, that site’s privacy policy applies.

Deleting your data

Removing Daricheh from your browser deletes everything it kept there. Before that, you can change or clear your city and pinned sites in Daricheh’s settings.

Children

Daricheh is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes and contact
